I was wondering - sailorchiron - were you going to make categories for the submissions? What I mean is do you want to separate the "darker" and the "lighter" themed banners to allow for both types to be displayed. Just a thought. If not, no worries. ^_^'

I can't either. I just came back from Houston, TX. I took a bunch of pictures and let photobucket make me a slideshow that I put on my MiniTokyo page.

I just got back from Houston, TX. It was a nice experience. People were friendly. The only thing I didn't care for were the scary 12 lane highways. Other than that, its a nice place to visit.
I got to see the Terracotta Warriors exhibit as well as many fossils and geological specimens. I took pictures, but my camera isn't the best. I have some pictures on my page if anyone is interested in checking a slideshow I made. There are no Terracotta Warrior photos though, they wouldn't allow us to take any. :(

Thunder snows are frightening. Snow is supposed to be quiet and harmless and fun, not with thunder and lightening. T_T

What type of degree (or anything in particular) are you going back to school for?
I can't believe its been so wet this year. Oklahoma and Arkansas have just been so wet and cool its just plain wrong. You do know that this means a nasty, wet winter. >_< From what I've seen myself and read from the farmer's almanac... everyone is saying the same thing - wet and icy. I am NOT looking forward to ice. I look forward to beautiful, fluffy snow... not nasty, wet ice. Eeew!I guess everyone's either headed back to school for one reason or another (except for me). I thought about taking an online foreign language course or something to help with my cobwebbed resume, but somehow I doubt I'll get a job again anytime soon. *sigh* There's not much here in central Arkansas for an animal biologist except for animal clinics (which are not hiring and refuse volunteers) and fast food. T_T I guess we don't need money that bad just yet, but still. Doesn't it bad on a resume if you aren't employed for awhile?

Hello. ^^ Its been quite sometime since I've been to this group. Evidently I either somehow removed myself from here or a glitch happened. >_< Oh well. I decided to start to slowly submit stuff to MiniTokyo again. I'm not very skilled with artistic ability like so many others here on MiniTokyo, but I do enjoy drawing. Unfortunately, right now I can only draw from pictures I see. I hope I can eventually submit items that are improved and have others help me become better. I appreciate any imput, so feel free to critique... just be gentle! ^_^'

What I've had survive (of my tomatoes) have been wonderful, but those worms have been relentless and with the rain we've been having lately... I doubt I can do anything about them except pick them off every day. :sigh: The bell peppers are fantastic! I've been hiding them in a few dishes at supper. My husband doesn't eat many vegetables, so I do what I can to get him to eat them... he really needs the vitamins. He knows that they're there. He always finds them, but as long as he can't really taste them he doesn't care. ^^ I guess that makes me a bad person... making my husband eat his vegetables... >_<
I wish I hadn't gotten upset with my garden when I was originally tilling it... and would've made more room for some squash or green beans. My sunflowers are still unscathed so far. The largest one is going to bloom soon, but the others will take awhile. I planted them technically late for where I live, but I've had them bloom as late as the end of October. I guess we'll see. :)
Speaking of raccoons, I saw a baby one the other day while driving. It was on the side of the road. I felt so bad because I was worried it was all by itself. The poor thing was so tiny, almost like a kitten. To me raccoons remind me some much of a cross between a cat and a ferret. I can't help but think they're adorable. I know they'll reek havoc on my garden if they ever discover its existance, but they're sooo cute! XD

I've been sick for the past week... yet again. *sigh* I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. >_< Not to mention the stuff in the house breaking down. You never fully appreciate an appliance or a convenience (running water or a toilet flushing) until its gone or you can't use it. At least now its fixed... but I dread the bill.Anyways, I hope everyone else is fairing better than myself. I made a short 8-sec video the other day of some lightning out our back door. It was something to do that didn't involve much effort on my part, but still turned out pretty well. ...and yes, the camera was crappy. ^_^' Spiderweb lightning video link
